8u to 18u Registration

2024-25 Hockey Season

Registration Fees:  https://www.schenectadyyouthhockey.com/regfee. 

Payment Methods: Visa, MasterCard, Discover, or direct withdrawal from bank account accepted.  No offline payments or personal checks.  Following the completion of this registration, your account will be charged from "Schdy Yth Hockey&Sktg."

Payment Plan Option:  Registration can be paid in full or using a payment plan (requires $150 deposit)

Multi-Player Registration Discount:  A $100 discount shall be applied to each additional child when multiple registrations are completed within the same order (under the same registration) by using the 'REGISTER ANOTHER PLAYER' option on the Review Page - DO NOT START A NEW REGISTRATION  - Failure to do so will result in a forfeiture of your family's multi-registration discount.

10u to 14u Jersey Numbers:  Returning 10u to 18u players will have the same jersey number as the previous year.  If returning players want to request a new jersey number, please review the list of available numbers at www.schenectadyyouthhockey.com/jersey and contact the SYHA equipment manager at https://www.schenectadyyouthhockey.com/contact.  NEW PLAYERS must choose their preferred number based on their birth year.  Even birth years must choose even numbers.  Odd birth years must choose odd numbers.  

8u Registration - Additional Information:  Open only to the 2016 & 2017 birth years.  SYHA anticipates this year's 8u registration will reach the 60-PLAYER CAP - register early to avoid being closed out of the 8u program.  All players with a birth year of 2017 and later must register for Mini-Mites or Introduction to Hockey that will open later this year.

8u Jerseys:  During registration, players will be required to buy a reversible SYHA jersey for $51.30.  8u jersey numbers are automatically assigned and not selected by players.

Scholarship:  SYHA has two types of scholarships available this season, the James F. Heath, Jr. Scholarship and the Scott Morley Memorial Scholarship. The James F. Heath, Jr. Scholarship provides financial assistance to individuals underrepresented in the sport of ice hockey and who have a financial need. The Scott Morley Memorial Scholarship provides financial assistance to individuals who demonstrate a deep love for the game of hockey and who have a financial need.

Both applications are due before May 31st.

Entry Level Programs (Introduction to Hockey, Mini-Mites, and Recreational Hockey for ages 9-13):  Registration will open at a later date.  Please frequent the Schenectady Youth Hockey Association home page for updated information.
